A Heart-Opening Bodywork Immersion

Learn More

PARTNER THAI BODYWORK

Reconnect with yourself, your breath, and another through the healing art of Thai Yoga Bodywork. This immersive, beginner-welcoming experience offers a blend of self-care, meditation, and hands-on partner practice ~ all rooted in metta, the Buddhist principle of loving-kindness.

Whether you come with a partner or solo, you’ll be guided to offer and receive deeply nurturing touch in a safe, structured, and heart-centered space. No prior experience necessary ~ just an open mind and a willingness to connect.

We Begin with Cacao

Arrive early to sip ceremonial cacao — a gentle, heart-opening plant medicine that enhances presence, deepens awareness, and prepares you for a day of giving and receiving.

Cacao Sipping + Arrival | 12:30–1:15 PM

Please bring your own vessel to fill for water and favorite mug if you’d like!

If you have any allergies or sensitivities, email angie.hyse@gmail.com by 8:00 AM on the day of the event so we can accommodate you.

Note: Cacao contains theobromine, a natural stimulant that may interact with certain medications (especially SSRIs, MAOIs, and heart-related prescriptions). If you’re unsure, consult your provider. Herbal tea will be available as an alternative.

Immersion Schedule

  • 1:15 PM – Grounding & Self-Care Practices

  • 3:30 PM – Second Round of Giving & Receiving

  • 4:45 PM – Integration + Closing Circle
Reflect on your experience, participate in the “Wai Khru” ritual honoring the teachers and lineage, and receive a take-home flowchart to continue your practice.

This Practice is for Every Body

Thai Yoga Bodywork is a fully clothed, mat-based practice that blends assisted stretching, rhythmic compression, and energy line work. It’s accessible, deeply relaxing, and highly effective — no flexibility or experience required.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Support others without straining your body
  • Use breath and body weight for flow and ease
  • Understand the basics of anatomy and Thai energy lines (Sen)
  • Offer and receive from a place of metta (loving presence)

Benefits include:

  • Improved circulation and mobility
  • Nervous system regulation
  • Restored energy flow
  • Deepened relational connection
  • Grounded, heart-centered embodiment

What to Wear

Dress in stretchy or loose-fitting natural fiber clothing (cotton, linen, bamboo, etc.). Thai Bodywork is done fully clothed with no oils, so comfort and breathability are key.

  • Individual & Partner Bundle (for two)
No partner? No problem. We’ll lovingly pair you with someone.

What’s Included

  • Guided partner Thai Bodywork practice (75 mins each)

This is more than a workshop — it’s a ceremony of care, connection, and embodied wisdom. Come exactly as you are.

A little note from your practitioner:

Hello I’m Angie and I currently live in Gainesville, Florida! I have been sharing movement, stillness, and connection practices with my local community for the last 7 years.

I became a 200-hr yoga teacher certified through Durga’s Tiger School in Ecuador in the summer of 2018. My practice focus was on the Kaula Tantra yoga series, shamanism, and the art of play.

Beyond the general Hatha yoga practice, that immersive training introduced me to Vipassana, Kundalini breathwork, authentic relating, ecstatic dance, and plants as medicine. And it was this very experience that has informed a majority of all of my personal practices to this day.

In the Spring of 2019, I graduated with a degree in Journalism from the University of Florida and then directly accepted a yoga studio management position at a local space in town through the Winter of 2021.

Between those few years, I gained another few hundred hours of yoga teacher training in addition to a 130+ hr Thai Yoga Bodywork apprenticeship.

To this day, I continue to study Thai Yoga Bodywork through my teacher Ariela Grodner—she is a certified Lotus Palm Practitioner (as taught by Kam Thye Chow of the Lotus Palm School) and has taught Thai Massage at the Florida School of Massage since 2004.

I have been offering private Thai sessions and facilitating large groups since 2021.

Today, I continue to practice the wisdom that has brought me closer to feelings of wholeness, connection, love, freedom, creativity, and peace. These feelings are co-created through the choices I make and the community I surround myself with. And so, my innate desire is to hold spaces that gift you just that; the opportunity to choose experiences that bring you closer to what is most important to you in the same way it’s been done for me.
