METAMORPHOSIS OF THE SOUL

Hosted by Sakina Manji and Austyn Sullivan, also known as Soul Glimpse. This immersive event will consist of a multi-faceted sound and sensory experience, enriched by projected visuals crafted by Austyn Sullivan. The journey will commence with a guided meditation, inviting participants to dance with the polarity of life, embracing the range of the human experience. At the start, we will encourage everyone to visualize a limiting belief, or barrier that they wish to transform and alchemize into their purpose. We will explore the concept of alchemizing our pains and struggles into nourishment for our fullest embodiment and expression. The meditation will transition into a rich, textural sound bath, guiding participants into deep states of meditative exploration. Our goal with Metamorphosis of the Soul is to venture into the deeper realms of our being, seeking a richer understanding of the aspects of ourselves that may be daunting but are crucial for growth, all while remembering that we are communal beings-we never have to carry that weight alone. Our intention is to create a sonic meditation that facilitates deep self-exploration, curiosity, and transformation. We will open up the space for journaling afterwards, as well as the kitchen space with works by Austyn Sullivan and Nightbreed CreationsSoul Glimpse is the musical moniker of Austyn Sullivan, a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and multi-disciplinary visual artist from South Louisiana. Sakina Manji is an integrative somatic trauma therapist and somatic breathwork practitioner based in Central Florida.

Austyn Sullivan

Austyn Sullivan is a multi-disciplinary artist born in Louisiana. Sullivan spent his earlier years fully emerged in music. Starting off as a percussionist, Sullivan’s musical interest expanded and began picking up various instruments, composing his own music and performing with bands.

Sullivan grew an interest in writing and studied creative writing at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) in high school. In 2009, Sullivan won a Scholastic Award and was published in the Best Teen Writing of 2009. After graduating, Sullivan moved from Louisiana to Baltimore to focus on music.

Sullivan was the percussionist for various bands such as Barbelith, guitarist and vocalist for Alter and the producer and composer for his experimental moniker Soul Glimpse. In 2014, Sullivan wrote the screenplay and score for the surrealist film Ingress. Among all of Sullivan’s creative endeavors, he found a new ritual in collage art.

Sullivan has focused on creating experimental works, musically and visually, that explore the mystical nature of the universe and the enigmas that exist within the human consciousness.
