LUMEN IN THE FIELD

Lumen In The Field

An immersive field of auditory and visual resonance, projection, and stillness.

This is not a typical sound bath.

Lumen in the Field is an immersive sound and light session by An Aperture, created for people drawn to deep listening, visual atmosphere, meditation, altered attention, and the strange tenderness of being fully present.

Rather than offering a standard wellness formula, An Aperture builds a living environment of resonance and light: gong, singing bowls, resonant stringed instruments, drones, tuning forks, projected image, shadow, and handmade sound/light instruments. The room becomes a field – part concert, part meditation, part ritual atmosphere, part sensory installation.

Every element of the experience is original. The sound, visuals, composition, instruments, pacing, and atmosphere are created by the artist – not generated by AI prompts, not pulled from stock libraries, and not assembled from a generic wellness template.

The experience is spacious, contemplative, and physically felt. You are invited to lie down, listen, watch, drift, receive, and let the sound do what sound does: move through the body, alter attention, soften the edges of thought, and open a deeper contact with the present moment.

No specific belief system is required. The session is spiritually accommodating without being dogmatic, artistic without being cold, and restorative without relying on clichés. It is for wellness-minded people, artists, seekers, listeners, sensitive nervous systems, curious skeptics, and anyone who wants something quieter, stranger, and more beautiful than the ordinary noise of the week.

Comfortable trifold cushions are provided; Bring a blanket, pillow, or anything that helps you rest comfortably on the floor. Also please bring a spill proof water bottle.

Come as you are. Listen with the whole body.

Erin Meares

Erin Meares is a lifelong artist, sound-maker, and builder of strange, beautiful atmospheres. With 35+ years in experimental music, visual art, performance, and sound design, he works from the places where darkness and light meet; grief, tenderness, intensity, silence, mystery, and the body’s quiet intelligence. His practice is spiritually open without being dogmatic, artistic without being cold, and restorative without becoming soft-focus wellness copy. Through An Aperture, Erin creates original sound-and-light experiences made by hand, from lived attention.
