BODY DIALOGUE IN THE WATER: Wednesday Morning 1:1 Session

Janice Stieber-Rous, founder of Body Dialogue, is offering a special pilot program in the beautiful saltwater pool at Center Street this summer.

Drawing on her deep relationship with water and decades of intuitive bodywork, Janice has developed a new modality that invites you to reconnect with your inner flow—through sound, breath, movement, and the gentle mirror of water itself.

These sessions are an opportunity to listen more deeply to your body’s messages, using the supportive environment of water to access a deeper channel of self-understanding and realization.

Each 60-minute session includes:
30 minutes in the water – guided movement and presence work
30 minutes on land – shared reflection and integration

Janice is trained in Watsu 1 and 2 and is weaving elements of Water Presencing into this evolving signature offering at Center Street.

Cancellation policy: Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.
Only four sessions are being offered this season.

About the Practitioner

Janice Stieber Rous

Janice Stieber Rous has identified as a dancing philosopher since her early teens. She trained at the Martha Graham School and, by the time she graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, recognized herself as a teacher rather than a performer. When she was 19, an injury changed her life, and she began her quest for a healing modality beginning in 1969. She discovered acupuncture as well as the Alexander Technique and became a certified Alexander teacher in 1981. Continuing her journey, she found Carl Stough, the influential “master of the breath,” and became one of only five recognized teachers of Stough Breathing Coordination. Simultaneously, Janice has been a student of yoga, qigong, and tai chi and recognizes the importance of the emotional body in healing. She also studied with Marion Woodman and, in 2000, graduated from the BodySoul Rhythms training created by Woodman, Mary Hamilton, and Ann Skinner. As a result of her varied studies, Janice developed her own modality, Body Dialogue, which she continues to teach in the United States and Israel, both privately and in groups. Her associations with Opera Orlando, University of Central Florida Wellness Programs, and the Timucua Arts Foundation give her an opportunity to work in person. She also creates online courses, including “Navigating the Aging Body” and “Body Dialogue to Nourish the Nervous System,” with the Body Dialogue team.
