About the Practitioner

Shannon Potter

Shannon grew up practicing acrobatics, from gymnastics to spring board diving. She's been going upside down almost her entire life. After ending her collegiate diving career sophomore year, she forgot about the upside down world and found herself topsy turvy in college life.

After 5 years of feeling lost, Shannon discovered yoga in 2017. She dabbled here and there but it wasn't until a heartbreak that sent her deep into yoga and back into the upside down world, using handstands as a coping skill. Her balance was shaky and she couldn't quite find the sweet spot of vertical for some time. After attending workshops and practicing handstands hundreds of times in a week, she found the sweet spot physically and mentally- balance.

As we find ourselves in 2024, Shannon continues to strengthen and play within her handstand practice. She has gathered tools from years of experience and is ready to equip everyone in Orlando the tools and knowledge to explore the upside down life.
