Body Dialogue: Foundations Series
A 3-Part Experiential Series
This series is best experienced as a full progression, but you are welcome to join any individual session.
This series offers a practical and experiential introduction to Body Dialogue, exploring the core principles of embodied awareness, breathing coordination, and movement. While designed as a progressive series, each session can also be taken individually.
Session 1: Interrupting Habit – The Art of Awareness
An introduction to Body Dialogue through the lens of the Alexander Technique and the role of habit in shaping our experience.
In this session, you will learn how patterns of tension and behavior are formed, and how they can begin to shift through awareness. We explore the idea that “we are our habits,” and that change begins with noticing.
Through the principle of inhibition, a foundational concept of the Alexander Technique, you will practice pausing before reacting, creating space for new choices to emerge.
This session offers practical Body Dialogue tools for tracking patterns, increasing awareness, and beginning to interrupt habitual responses in both body and mind.
