LIVING ABOVE THE LINE

Parenting a child with unique abilities can be… challenging, isolating, and anxiety-provoking. It’s also a unique opportunity to learn, grow, build community, and THRIVE. To that end, one of the most inspirational women you’ll likely ever meet is coming to the Orlando area for a MUST-SEE event.

This program is appropriate for caregivers of children with a wide variety of unique abilities, from literacy and speech disorders to neurodivergences to developmental issues. This program is about centering the caregiver and providing tools to maintain mindfulness while navigating family life, so it doesn’t matter if your child’s issues are mild or severe. Invite your partner, your friends, your parents…we’re looking forward to seeing you there!

  • You’ll be pampered with an all-day retreat including breakfast, lunch (prepared and served by your providers), and relaxation time
  • Special guest Tara Spears, owner of Togetherness Counseling will speak about the power of cultivating mental health tools
  • Wendy will lead the group through mindfulness learning opportunities and community building activities.
A note about LIVING ABOVE THE LINE, previously hosted at Center Street – A place for the heart on August 2, 2025:

Wendy Soderman’s Above the Line Workshop touched our hearts and inspired us to be our best selves at the beautiful Center Street Retreat House. The morning felt like a respite full of support and friendship. Immediately following the workshop, there was a flood of requests for more. Parents told me “I cried tears of joy!” “This is the direction I’ve been searching for.” “Please do this again…soon!”

ABOUT THE PRACTITIONER

Wendy Soderman is a mindfulness teacher, a motivational speaker, previous owner (for 30 years) of a mindfulness-based school, and a mother of two grown children, one of whom has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. She lives with joy and purpose…and it’s just so beautiful to see! She teaches mindfulness in a way that can change your perspective, and maybe your relationship with yourself and your children. Come, be in community with us, focus your mindset, and learn to find joy in what ALREADY IS at the beginning of the new academic year.
