Find The Others: An Afternoon with Shane Mauss

We’d love to invite you to a relaxed, community-centered afternoon at Center Street as part of our Find The Others series. We’re hosting Shane Mauss for a gathering that mixes connection, conversation, and a good amount of laughter.
We’ll start the day with a couple hours just to hang out and meet people. We’ll have euphoric drinks (alcohol-free mocktails), tea, and a few stations where folks who work in the psychedelic space—therapists, harm-reduction practitioners, and other professionals—will be available for questions and casual conversation. Think of it as an easy way to connect, learn, and find your people.
Later in the afternoon, we’ll all come together for a panel-style conversation between Shane and Imane (Center Street’s Director and a psychedelic harm-reductionist). They’ll talk about the funny, strange, and meaningful parts of the psychedelic path—how humor shows up in integration, and why storytelling helps us make sense of the big, profound stuff we go through.
We’ll wrap with a live Trip Tales segment, where Shane will share some of his stories from the road—lighthearted, honest, and very human.
The whole idea is to create a space that’s grounded, welcoming, and a little bit magical… a place to meet others walking a similar path, learn something new, and enjoy an afternoon that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Tickets for this event are donation-based; proceeds go towards supporting guest artists and future community events.

A Psychedelic Odyssey in Two Acts

“In 2014, I took a chance on creating a new show about psychedelics and quickly realized there was a growing public interest in the topic. By 2016, that idea had evolved into a sold-out, 111-city psychedelic comedy tour—which ended up inspiring the documentary Psychonautics: A Comic’s Exploration of Psychedelics.
In 2022, I was offered a residency at Area15 in Las Vegas, where I launched a visually immersive comedy experience created in collaboration with 20 amazing artists and VJ Michael Strauss. Then in 2023, we took the show on a 170-city tour that wrapped with the filming of this two-part special at Meow Wolf—an emerging mecca for psychedelic art and culture.
Now, that journey is culminating in TRIPS—a two-part psychedelic comedy special that captures the heart of this evolving project. It’s part stand-up, part immersive art experience, and part mind-expanding field trip. We filmed it at Meow Wolf to bring the full visual experience to life, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone who’s been curious enough to come along for the ride.”
