Eco-consciousness and Ayahuasca

Join us for an afternoon with author and poet Greg Wrenn, a former lecturer at Stanford University, as he shares his transformative journey of healing his relationship with nature and himself through jungle medicine.

In his book, Mothership: A Memoir of Wonder and Crisis, Greg masterfully weaves together memoir and cutting-edge science. This work is both a queer coming-of-age story and a deeply researched exploration of how coral reefs and ayahuasca helped him heal from complex PTSD—a disorder of trust that makes forming connections panic-inducing.

Highlights:

  • Discover a healing paradigm that may surpass traditional therapeutic models and learn about the role psychedelics can play in addressing widespread mental illness and the ongoing climate crisis.
  • Enjoy a compelling narrative that blends memoir, mental health struggles, scientific research, and a captivating psychedelic adventure.

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore new perspectives on healing and mental health with Greg Wrenn.

Orlando Psychedelic Society

OPS MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Orlando Psychedelic Society is to create an open community in celebration of life.

The core values of the society are to be:

- A community that supports curiosity, free thought, creativity, and self-expression.
- A community that supports spiritual awakening, psychological healing, and consciousness expansion.
- An online resource and directory for people seeking psychedelically-informed care in legal, above ground settings
- An educational platform for courses and training for integration, advocacy and harm reduction practices
- A safe space for sharing and integrating psychedelic experiences and stories of healing and transformation

OPS hopes to broaden awareness of the value of psychedelics by making the transition from fear to curiosity in the public eye. OPS believes that the way to neutralize fear is through spreading knowledge and sees the value of psychedelics to philosophy and to culture, and as a doorway to both individual expression and collective responsibility.

OPS sees psychedelics as a powerful tool to access the numinous realm, and reach different levels of consciousness to solve global problems in novel ways, and heal the human mind on an individual level. The society considers our relationship to mother earth, to the animals and all of humanity to be sacred and worthy of protection. OPS believes these substances are a gift to our spiritual evolution and the collective healing of humanity.
